Oct 2024 – April 2024
This Foundation Course is designed to explore yoga in more depth.
This course is not only an opportunity to expand on the practices that you cover in your general classes but also a chance to dig deeper and learn more about this great and vast practice that is YOGA.
Over the period of this course students will expand on the practices that they cover in a general class which includes practical and theoretical work on Asana, Pranayama, concentration and meditation, but also get to cover topics such as the history of yoga, the different paths and schools of yoga and an introduction to basic yoga philosophy.
As a student you will be given the tools and encouraged to set up a regular home practice that works for you. You will be shown the many different ways that yoga can be experienced, through movement, breath, meditation, mantra and study and find the perfect way to support yourself over the course period and beyond.
It really is an opportunity to develop your own practice and create a much deeper understanding of everything yoga.
Not only is this course suitable for yoga students who would like to develop their knowledge of yoga further, it is also a great opportunity/ precursor for those wanting to train as yoga teachers at some point in the future.
